Hi to all! Welcome to Takbo Prin-ti-pe!
Prince Raymund Pabellano is my real name. I’m also known as “Prin-ti-pe” in the running community. My friends call me Prinz, P.R. or Prinsipe (tagalog version of my first name). Basically the name Prin-ti-pe came from my niece. When she heard my friends calling me on that name she also calling me on the same name but in baby talk. Since then she’s calling me Tito Prin-ti-pe. The birth of Run Prince… Run! Or should I say Takbo Prin-ti-pe… Takbo! Started.
I started running late 2010. My 1st race was the Run BGC last November 28, 2010. Back then it was nothing. I don’t care about PR’s (personal record), the form and speed, just a plain run. I’ve joined and finish my races, period. That time the only reason I’m into running is to lose weight. But until one day I realize that I’m starting to like, (correction) to love this sport. I ask myself, why I don’t get serious. Since that time I run distances from 3K to much longer distances, trying to improve myself and to stay fit. I’m starting to beat my record and meeting different type of runners along the way and I have been hooked on running ever since. I also tried running barefoot and now I’m getting addicted to trail runs because I feel in love with the unmatched beauty of nature.
Now I run not just to collect singlet, finisher shirts, and unique medals but also this is my way of meditation and a form of healing. I allow my mind to wander aimlessly while my feet do all the work. To others running is just a sport. To me, it has become and part of my way of living. It keeps me healthy- mentally, physically and sometimes spiritually.
As I go deep into running, I decided to create a blog. And so, I created this blog to write and have a simple journal for the progress of my running and mean a way to express myself. I was inspired by the other blogger who are very enthusiast of sharing their thoughts, knowledge, and experiences into running that helps a lot to others that is new into this world. Since then it became a regular thing to write reviews on races I joined, latest running equipment, running clinic and announcements and anything about running. I’m no fancy writer so don’t expect too much great in my writings Ok? I’m just here to share, inspire and motivate others, period.
